The Unpopular Opinions

It annoys me when people look down on people who are doing an Arts degree in college. Ok, at a glance you might not think there is much to be done with subjects like english, psychology, history, social science etc.. With arts, you do not come out of college qualified in one profession (i.e if you do medicine you come out a doctor, if you do law you can come out a lawyer) Most people who do arts are ‘drifters’, they like to be flexible and do a few different things with their lives. My sister did an english degree, and she’s been all over the world teaching. I did French and have been with different companies in several countries doing translation and small bit of teaching. I’ve met wonderful people, experienced different cultures and yeah, the salary is rather satisfying. And it’s not just teaching you can do. With arts, you have to look for work. Some people do arts and whine that they ‘can’t get a job’ and end up working in subway. These are lazy people who are not willing to look, not willing to travel or simply went into arts for the wrong reason (such as the classic ‘I don’t know what to do with my life….I’ll do an arts degree!’)

Arts isn’t for everyone, but that’s no different to other college courses. I loathe the idea of working in an office at a law firm for the rest of my life or spending 24/7 looking after patients in a hospital. But people do those things because they are passionate about it. I happen to be passionate about the arts, and there IS work there, and plenty of it. Just because you don’t like arts doesn’t mean it’s useless. Let people do what they want, it’s none of your business.

I have absolutely nothing against those people who are homosexual or have any other sexuality other than straight. By all means, please, proceed to live your life in the lifestyle that you choose.

What does bother me, though, is when a majority of these people claim to want to be treated as normal people, i.e. straight people. But you don’t see straight people throwing parades in celebration of being straight; you just don’t. If they wanted to be treated normal, they would continue their lives like a normal person. That means no parades exclaiming their happiness in pursuing their sexuality and no PDA.

Now, I understand that straight people often execute PDA. When I speak of PDA, I’m NOT including hold hands, or a quick peck hello/goodbye. I feel those are normal and accepted. Those ‘normal’ people who perform extreme PDA in public tend to be trashy or looked down upon by others.

I have seen countless examples of homosexuals participating in DNA and they get praise of how cute and admirable it is that they are able to embrace their sexuality and feelings for another, regardless of sex and what people think, in public. It’s not cute. There’s a time and place for affection. If it’s looked down upon when straight people perform PDA, then I’m going to look down on homosexuals who choose to perform PDA when they preach they wanted to be treated normally? A person’s love life is private and is concern for those involved only. The whole word does not need to be involved in your affair.

I don’t find the “Hipster Hitler” pictures on tumblr funny. Hearing Joan Rivers make Holocaust jokes & seeing people constantly reblogging Hitler is so stupid.

My school had a speaker a few months ago. He was a Holocaust survivor. At one point, someone asked if he could ever forgive Hitler. And he said, “It’s not up to me. He has to ask my 5 year old sister Sarah that his Nazis killed for forgiveness”.

How can you make light of genocide?

Hitler’s administration killed millions of Jews, homosexuals, & disabled people.

70 years later and you want to laugh about that shit.

I’m rally sick of mixed black people talking about their “slave ancestors” and how white people are awful and all that shit.

Let’s also mention your “slave owner” ancestors. Just because black is the dominant gene doesn’t block out that you had white ancestors that would have been just as racist to black people as any other white person.

Being dark skinned doesn’t make anyone’s ancestor’s better than anyone else’s.

Call me racist you know I make a valid point.

Oh and not all white people are bad. And it’s just as racist to be mean to white people because they’re white as it is to do that to any other people. Being a dick to me because I’m pasty is’t going to go back in time and make slavery have never happened.

Also blacks weren’t the only one’s to be enslaved.

Why isn’t this just accepted as a fact of life? Different breeds of dog have differences, not necessarily characteristics that make one breed better or worse than the other, but genetic differences that may make some people prefer one breed over another. Why is it racist to use this completely logical idea on humans? Different races of humans have genetic differences that produce physical and sometimes mental distinctions. That’s not racist, that’s basic biology.

I will call you by your name or I will describe you by what you are. I will not pander to your leftist, anti-white bullshit.

I wish proper romance existed, I know the past always seems better but I really can’t imaginepeople in the future going ‘god I wish a guy would snapchat a picture of his dick to me… old school romance was da bomb!’, can you?

Politics pisses me off to the nth fucking degree.

You know what dividing everyone into two camps of conservatives and liberals does for humanity? Absolutely fucking nothing. All it does is separate people into teams so they can fight and argue and get their pants in a twist until they finally have a rage orgasm and take a rest until the next fucking argument. How many problems have we solved by sitting around and arguing whether conservatives are bigoted assholes or liberals are immoral twats? NONE. Until we can stop acting like children, both conservative AND liberal, we will make 0 progress. 

We don’t need liberals, we don’t need conservatives. We need people.
