My opinion is that there’s nothing special about Taylor Swift. I didn’t expect her fame to be perpetuated after 2007. She has a very mediocre (karaoke) singing voice and her songs are nothing but immature angsty breakups. She’s nowhere near country, she’s just whiny bubble gum pop. She thinks she so badass because she gets back at guys after they dump her or cheat on her. No, she’s just a girl with a guitar, and, unfortunately, a whiny fan base.

I wish I wouldn’t have “become a fan” of all of these pages in 2009, because now they crowd my news-feed with fucking stupid unfunny gag spam shit.

If you have an eating disorder, depression, are bipolar or have any other mental illness and use it as an excuse to treat others like shit, I have no sympathy for you. We shouldn’t have to walk on egg shells for people who are just down-right indecent. (I was diagnosed with depression some years ago, but never held that over people).

I just want to play the fucking game and not have guys hitting on me the entire time. When I tell them I’m married they either don’t believe me, or they stop talking to me altogether. I’ve even had real life girlfriends get on their boyfriends mic to bitch at me, like I’m trying to steal their boyfriend through Black Ops? I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME! 

And girls, stop being so bitchy towards each other! It’s like every time I encounter another girl, they have to fight for the attention of all of the guys in the room. You can have all of the attention, I don’t care. It says in my damn bio that I’m married.

I thought Anita Sarkeesian’s new video had no more intellectual substance or prodction value than her older ones. I have never really disagreed with what she says - but I think that could be because she never says anything that you wouldn’t notice or realise yourself.

I thought perhaps her new series would be more informative, more detailed or more professional than her older ones; I thought that all that money she raised was going to be spent blowing the lid off the video game industry and kicking down the doors of misogyny with all guns blazing - or at least maybe interviewing someone in the industry and tearing them a new one. You know - just “better” in some way.

Alas, no. She’s still just pointing out the same examples of negative female stereotypes that we all already know about whilst standing in front of a greenscreen - just like she has been doing all along.

I thought that her Kickstarter money was for research or equipment or something but it’s beginning to look like it was just so she could take a year off without having to go to work - because that money is definitely not on the screen.

I think she means well, and what she says is NOT wrong, I just don’t think she’s adding anything new to the discussion.

I know I’m not either - but then I’m not claiming to.
